Unsure what to do this Valentines Day in the Birmingham area? As a long time Bham native I may have a few suggestions you haven't thought about before! Of course, there's always dinner & a movie. Birmingham has some great restaurants, with new restaurants opening all the time (have you been to Primeaux by the Summit yet)? They just opened this past year.. and on the 14th the Alabama Theatre is playing Casablanca.
Maybe something more condusive for chatting up your loved one? What's better than all the chocolate you can eat? They're having an auction to benefit The Alabama Wildlife Center that is centered around the stuff! Going solo? Half of Birmingham is going to be down at the Bottletree Cafe for a dating game inspired parady of both "The Newlywed Game" and "The Dating Game."
Are you and your honey Beatles fans? Ironcity also has a great kitchen and will be hosting Beatles cover band, Abbey Road on the 14th. If you eat there that night tell Jonathon I said hey, he's one of best sous chefs in town (might score you some points gentlemen ; ).
Want something completely different? Red Mountain State Park is offering a "Lover's Leap" package that includes hiking and ziplining, then dinner and dessert by the fire with an on site photographer for the outdoorsy adventurers in us all.
And don't forget Vulcan! He's got the best veiw in town and might be the perfect way to end the night gazing over the best little secret in the south. <3 If none of this is resonating with you there's a whole list of events and special things going on around town this Vday. Enjoy your time this Valentines Day!
